Sweet tea and a slice of lemon. Peanut butter and jelly. Cookies and milk. Some things are much better together than they are alone. Companies are the same way. A great partnership can make two companies more valuable than the sum of their parts. By joining forces, Claris and TekLinks will do just that. In light of our recent acquisition, let’s take a look at some of the ways Claris and TekLinks will be “better together.”
Have it your way
Information technology isn’t one-size-fits-all. There are limitless ways a service provider can create and deploy IT services, and several ways organizations want to consume it. In the Claris-TekLinks partnership, we will be able to cover all the primary ways businesses want to consume IT.
Serving different sized businesses
TekLinks as a combined company will serve two primary organization sizes: Enterprise (large businesses) and Commercial (small and medium-sized businesses). Claris Networks primarily offers managed and cloud services to SMBs, while TekLinks excels in providing IT services as a “Value Added Reseller” and cloud provider to Enterprise-sized businesses. Going forward, TekLinks + Claris will be able to serve organizations of virtually any size.
Blending service models
In addition to the difference in the size business Claris and TekLinks typically serve, there is a difference in how they serve those business. As a single entity, TekLinks will be able to join each of these strengths and essentially provide any method of IT consumption you prefer. In the world of IT services, there are three primary models:
-
VAR (Value Added Reseller)
- In this model, the customer owns all hardware and infrastructure assets, and TekLinks provides services on an as-needed basis. The customer is primarily responsible for the management of the network.
-
Managed Services
- In this model, the customer owns the hardware and infrastructure assets, and TekLinks manages it. The service provider is primarily responsible for the management of the network.
-
Cloud Services
- In this model, TekLinks owns the hardware and infrastructure assets. The service provider is 100% responsible for the management of the network and IT performance.
Strength in Numbers
With over 100 employees, Claris Networks is the largest provider of managed IT and cloud services in Tennessee. By joining with TekLinks, our personnel count grows to over 300. When you’re dealing with technology, experience matters.
Emphasis on Security
Data security is business security, and one thing’s for sure: it’s not if your organization will face a security threat, but when. As a result of the merger, TekLinks will be rolling out more and more security products and services to help our customers safeguard their data.
It probably goes without saying that we are very excited for this transition. What it means for both Claris and TekLinks current customers, as well as for the cities we serve is significant. For more information on Claris Networks or TekLinks services, click here to reach out to us.
